David Palmer
David has 25 years of investment experience, and joined Sarasin & Partners in November 2000. He is the Investment Manager for the Sarasin IE GlobalSar Income and Dynamic Funds, and a number of portfolios for private clients. Prior to joining the firm, much of his career was spent with the Royal Bank of Canada where he started as an credit analyst before becoming a director of its investment bank subsidiary, which included working in Japan. He also worked with the Birmingham based stockbrokers Albert E Sharp.

Focus and Objective
The Trust will seek to achieve its investment objective through investing predominantly in a portfolio of global fixed interest and floating-rate securities including government and corporate bonds as well as ancillary liquid asset as described below. The Investment manager will seek to achieve a consistently attractive level of income through investment in fixed interest securities and capital appreciation through investment, to a lesser extent, in equities listed on Regulated Markets on a global basis, convertible bonds, warrants and to a lesser extent closed-ended funds. Such debt securities will normally have a minimum credit rating of BBB, as rated by the Standard & Poor's, Moody's or an equivalent credit rating agency and in any event no more than 30% of the Trust's Net Asset Value will be invested in debt securities with a non-investment grade rating and in most circumstances, the proportion will be significantly less. The Trust may also invest in equity securities as well as convertible bonds or warrants up to a maximum of 35% of Net Asset Value.
